First Congregational United Church of Christ flooring renovation

The 30-year-old flooring in the fellowship hall and kitchen areas of First Congregational United Church of Christ of Manhattan were in need of repair and renovation. These spaces are used daily for their church activities and various community groups.

CTA assisted in acquiring and choosing new commercial flooring, created construction documents, provided, construction administration, and facilitated the bidding process.

First Presbyterian Church sanctuary renovation

This renovation to the sanctuary of the First Presbyterian Church in Manhattan, Kansas required the blending of both old and new design features into one integrated cohesive space.

The original sanctuary had been redesigned in the late 1970’s, which replaced the traditional design elements with a modernist design theme. This new theme disassociate the sanctuary from the traditional limestone church.

During this 2012 renovation, the challenge was to bring traditional elements back into the sanctuary while integrating with the modern elements of the pipe organ, which was to remain.

Included in the renovation were new chancel furniture, pews, flooring, along with the incorporation of interior stained glass windows separating the sanctuary from the narthex.

This project was done while working with
