Manhattan High School East Campus, Gymnasium Renovation

As part of a 2012 USD 383 Bond Issue, this project provided needed repairs and improvements to the MHS East Campus.

Improvements to the school included asbestos abatement, significant plaster repair, new carpet and paint throughout, and ADA improvements.

The existing gymnasium of the school was housed in a metal building without air conditioning or adequate insulation. The gymnasium was re-skinned and re-insulated, the locker rooms were renovated, and new ADA accessible bleachers were installed.

A new entry vestibule and entry stairs were created to enhance the gymnasium appearance while providing an ADA accessible entry and creating a social space for the students.
